Creating Positive Experiences Using NOCC Outcome Measures

The National Outcomes and Casemix Collection (NOCC) comprises a range of clinician and consumer rated measures. However, collection and use of the consumer-rated outcome measures (i.e., K-10+, BASIS-32, MHI-38) has lagged behind the uptake of clinician rated measures, such as the HoNOS suite, LSP, CGAS. AMHOCN recently collaborated with Lived Experience Australia (LEA) on a research project on consumers' experiences of being offered and using the consumer-rated measures. This report highlights how clinicians can incorporate these measures into clinical practice, supporting consumer engagement and dialogue and creating a more mutually beneficial positive experience.
