Developing a Casemix Classification for Mental Health Services: Summary

This booklet summarises the findings of the Mental Health Classification and Service Costs (MH-CASC) Project, a major service utilisation study conducted from 1995 - 1998 under the National Mental Health Strategy. The aim of the Project was to develop the first version of a national casemix classification, with associated cost weights, for specialist mental health services.
