How we report

AMHOCN recognised that static reports to do fully meet the different and diverse information requirements of those wishing to utilise the data contained in the Australian Mental Health Natioal Outcomes and Casemix Collection (NOCC). To that end, AMHOCN developed the Web Decision Support Tool and the Reports Portal (both accessible from the AMHOCN Data Portal) to enable users to design their own purpose specific reports with a range of partition and stratification factors.

Elements of the NOCC data are also reported in performance indicators contained in the latest Report on Government Services - navigate to the Mental Health Managment chapter:

  • Effectiveness - Appropriateness Indicator: Collection of information on consumers outcomes - Proportion of episodes with completed consumer outcomes measures collected for people in specialised public mental health services - ongoing community care

  • Outcome Indicator: Mental health outcomes of consumers of specialised public mental health services - Proportion of people discharged from a State or Territory public hospital psychiatric inpatient unit who had a significant improvement in their clinical mental health outcomes
