Consumer & Carer Organisations

Mental health consumer and carer organisations exist in all Australian states and territories. Generally their role is to provide a voice for mental health consumers and carers, encouraging input into decision making about the way mental health services are provided. These organisations do not generally provide individual services but promote, through advocacy, the needs and goals of individuals, carers and families.
